I have been undertaking research into military history for a number of decades and I am an Independent Researcher at numerous UK based Archives. Over this period I have developed a wealth of experience and expertise which clients can benefit from and I aim to provide a high-quality research service.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This website has been written to give an overview of the types of research possible. It is a generalization as it is not possible cover every topic or aspect within the website as this would require several volumes. If you have a particular topic please feel free to ask me about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most of the projects I undertake are related to the:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The British Army including the Reserves \/ Territorials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Royal Navy including its Reserve formations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Royal Flying Corps \/ Royal Naval Air Service which later became the Royal Air Force<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The British Merchant Navy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Often there is an overlap with other Commonwealth and Allied forces. Examples are the King&#8217;s German  Legion (1800s) and more recently, the Polish Squadrons under the operational control of the Royal Air Force during World War 2 etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It must also be noted that the British Empire was vast and it covered many modern countries so again there is some overlap. British India is of particular note, and I cover:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Honourable East India Company (HEIC \/ EIC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Indian Army pre-1947<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Indian Navy pre-1947<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to Military Archive Research, the research site run by Dr Stuart C Blank.
